The support from former volunteers, supporters, friends, and friends of friends during our Global Giving campaign in September was overwhelming and we are incredibly grateful.
This project was about more than just building a classroom block. It was about giving students the chance to continue their education at a quality school and build a better future for themselves.
Just two of the children who will benefit from your donations to our Global Giving campaign.
The students in Primary 6 will move on to Primary 7 at the end of the year. Primary 7 is the last class before Secondary School, so it is a very important year in the lives of primary school students.
It is imperative that students have a proper education during their last year of primary school so as to pass their exams and move on to secondary school. Because of your generosity and the generosity of so many others, the students at Hopeland Junior School in Kitoola will be given this opportunity.
Their futures are bright and YOFAFO believes in their ability to do very well in the course of their education.
Work is already underway on the new classrooms you bought – in fact, they’re almost finished!
The Baby Class will now have a classroom, which will be a huge benefit to both students and teacher. The classroom will allow for more focus, protection from the weather and will prepare the younger students for primary school. The teachers at Hopeland Junior School, who haven’t had a proper office or meeting space, will now have both. This will be a space for them to correct papers, hold meetings, and confer with one another during the day.
From the bottom of our hearts, we again thank you for your support during this campaign. You were instrumental not only in the building of these classrooms, but also in supporting students to continue their education.
